CFS – Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome CFS (also known as MYalgic Encephalomyelitis) is still considered an incurable chronic disease with unexplained causes and disease mechanisms.

The term “chronic fatigue syndrome” also used in Germany must not be interpreted in a trivial way: CFS is much more than “just fatigue”.

In Germany, the Federal Ministry of Health estimates 300,000 people to suffer, and 1.6 million are expected across the EU – the US health agency CDC estimates 1 million diseases in the US. Cfs affects 17 million people worldwide. These are alarming figures.

Most often ill: people between the ages of 30 and 45 years.

A clinical definition of this disease, drawn up in Canada in 2003 by the COLLEGE OF FAMILY PHYSICIANs (family physicians),speaks, among other things, of “an unexplainable,
persistent or recurrent physical or mental exhaustion that leads to a significant reduction in the level of activity”.

Those affected suffer for months from joint pain (arthralgia) and muscle pain (myalgia),stress, disturbance of day-night rhythm, sensitive neck and armpit lymph nodes, headache. You will not find rest through sleep. Disorientation or confusion, movement disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, vascular problems, breathing disorders, leg impairment of short-term memory or ability to concentrate are part of the everyday life of these patients. About 30% of them also experience mental disorders – such as anxiety disorders and depression (source: Clinical Guidelines for Psychiatrists in Canada).

Many of these symptoms clearly indicate a disturbed balance (dysbalance) of the vegetative nervous system. So the problem obviously concerns our parent control center, where all the functions of our bodies are ultimately controlled and managed. The top “experts” of our bodily functions are the two main nerves of sympathetic and parasympathetic. Whether hormonal system, immune system, nervous system, psyche, etc. – they are all directed from this command center.

Much becomes comprehensible and explainable with the knowledge of this scientific fact:

If, for example, our body reports chronic fatigue, it is primarily a reasonable attempt to replenish the pumped-out energy reserves by relaxing or sleeping. A normal reaction, then.

What are the ultimate causes when the physical energy reserves are chronically empty? If exhaustion is a permanent state?

AIRNERGY has concrete and competent answers to this – but these are not generally applicable to every complaint picture. Each case of CFS is unique in terms of cause and individual condition and ultimately depends on the personal situation (stress at work, private circumstances, etc.). Personal interviews for the purpose of a thorough analysis are therefore necessary.

An imbalance of the vegetative nervous system can be easily, painless and quickly detected by VNS analysis. Undoubtedly, such an analysis of the higher-level physical control system makes sense before proceeding to examine the systems subordinate to the VNS.

How does VNS analysis work? ECG measurement technology, which we know from the doctor, measures heart rate variability (HRV). The measurement results make concrete statements about the relationship between tension (sympathics) and relaxation (parasympathetic) possible.

In addition, any therapy for Chronic Exhaustion Syndrome CFS can be accurately checked for efficacy by means of VNS analysis.

It makes sense in many respects to approach the fight against at least the encounter with the topic CFS from this side.

Five out of six studies showed that only between zero to six percent of those affected recover completely and become healthy. A sixth study found a recovery rate of 12 percent.

The public’s behaviour towards CFS sufferers has often given rise to legal action. According to the report of the “Ärztezeitung”, the magazine “SPIEGEL” had published a trivial article on this subject, which led to a reprimand by the Press Council for breach of due diligence.

Although the diagnosis CFS/ME is made according to internationally defined criteria, a clear diagnosis is not yet possible – which also results in the lack of standardized treatment procedures. CFS sufferers are (still) on their own.

This makes it all the more important to have ways and procedures for alleviating complaints in order to enable them to participate actively in their private and professional life.

A TV article by THE broadcaster PRO7 in 2012 caused a media attention on this topic:

The doctor and psychotherapist Dr. med. Rüdiger Vonderbeck and one of his patients, who has been suffering from massive sleep disorders and CFS for more than 20 years, report astonishing results. On the advice of her doctor, the patient decided to use AIRNERGY respiratory therapy after years of unsuccessful therapy attempts. With success – after two decades she can sleep relaxed and restful for the first time.

The effect of AIRNERGY in the body of CFS affected is measurable – among other things with the already mentioned VNS analysis.

Many fields of science are still waiting for their development – even the final research into unexplained diseases can take a long time.

This makes it all the more important for those affected to use the means to alleviate such ailments.

AIRNERGY therapy offers these opportunities in connection with the disease Chronic exhaustion syndrome CFS. Numerous study results and patient reports prove this.
